A Coordination Council of the National Platform “United for adult learning” was established. The Council was formed within the implementation of Action 1 Coordination of the Project №: 3761-EPP-1-2015-1-BG-EPPKA3-AL-AGENDA – “National coordinators in the implementation of the European Agenda for Adult Learning.”
The formation of the Council happened in the context of the creation of “National Platform for Adult Learning” They took place from 31 March to 1 April 2016 at a specially organized seminar held in Sanatorium and health complex “Kamchia”.
The platform and the Council were created to meet the need for more effective coordination of the interaction of stakeholders at all levels of governance in the sector of adult learning – national, regional and local.
The structuring of the Council is done in a way that allows efficient interaction of stakeholders at all governance levels. In its composition are included: three representatives of the National Coordination Group for Lifelong Learning – one representative of the State, of the nationally represented employers’ organizations and of the trade unions, six regional coordinators who represent the six regions in the country and six representatives of the National Network for Adult Learning, heads of schools, which educate the greatest number of adults – one from the six country regions. The Management Committee is chaired by the National Coordinator for the implementation of the European Agenda for Adult Learning.
The Council was formed with the vision to bring system approach and stability to the effects of the achievement of the national priorities set for the period 2015-2017, in compliance with the European Agenda for Adult Learning.
